What are the crossFit wristbands

As the name suggests, the crossfit wristbands are designed for wrist protection. In your WOD you will perform many different exercises that will demand strength and control of that joint.

When to use the wristbands for CrossFit?

Just like the kneepads, it is not advisable to carry crossFit wristbands at all timesnor even from your first workout.

We will only get the most out of these add-ons if we use them at the right times. By pressing on the joint, the crossFit wristbands generate heat that stimulates the circulationand at the same time press the wrist to give it more support when it comes to transmitting the strength needed for the exercise.

But your wrists, like the rest of your muscles and joints, need to be strengthened by exercise, so that's why you do it! If you use crossFit wristbands from minute one, your joints will work less and progress more slowly than the rest of your body. The result in the long run is much worse!

Elastic or expandable wristbands → These are the best crossFit wristbands for those who are already made by cross training. The fabric, which is expandable, is extremely strong to provide full protection. They usually have a Velcro closure to further ensure the fit, and their fabric is usually breathable
